Die-eting
For all of you that have lost weight this year, come see me, I found it all. Am in the process of attempting to lose some weight (currently 205...or so) and I can honestly say it’s much harder than originally anticipated. For one, 35 is not the new 25. Metabolism is like driving a car you’ve owned for a while. You still think you can floor it like the “good old days” but the moment you actually do, it sure don’t react like it used to. Then I suffer from a little medical condition called “ Ilovefooditis.” Add to that the fact I’m Cuban (born in the U.S. of Cuban parents) and my people feel a need to open one bakery for every ten citizens and you have a recipe for failure. My biggest problem is a lack of exercise and a horrible addiction to pizza pastelitos, mashed potatoes and gravy/macaroni and cheese, and “la completa” (scrambled eggs w/ bacon and ham, fries, Cuban bread and butter, and 2 croquetas). I’ll keep you guys posted as we go along but man today was a step backward in the worst way!
